70-Year-Old Woman Nearly Lost Her Sight After Car Accident — Couldn’t Open Left Eye! Acupuncture Restores Her Vision
A 75-year-old woman surnamed Ke was involved in a car accident several months ago. She suffered a head injury and intracranial hemorrhage. After staying in a medical center for more than ten days, she was discharged. However, due to damage to her third cranial nerve, her left eye remained unable to open and her eyeball could not move for nearly two months. Through a referral, she sought treatment from Dr. Chang Yuan-Ya of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department at Yuan Sheng Branch of Yuan Rung Medical System. After more than one month of acupuncture treatment, her left eye can now open normally and her vision has fully recovered.
