A man in his 30s had been experiencing pain from his right back extending to the back of his right calf in recent years, making it difficult to even walk when severe. He sought treatment from Dr. Lu Yen-Chang at the Chinese Medicine Department of Yuan Rung Hospital, part of the Yuan Rung Healthcare System. During the consultation, Dr. Lu learned that the man had sprained his right ankle in elementary school. Although the injury healed, it caused his thoracic spine to shift to the right and his lumbar spine to his pelvis to shift to the left, resulting in a slight leg length discrepancy. After acupuncture and manual correction, the patient can now walk and run normally.
