Amendments to the Labor Health Protection Regulations
Draft Revisions of General Physical and Health Examination Items
- In light of recent changes in industrial work patterns, cases of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases triggered by fatigue or stress from irregular work schedules such as shift work, night shifts, and long working hours have increased.
- To address the need for risk assessment of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases,
- HDL cholesterol testing will be added to the general physical checkup; both HDL and LDL cholesterol testing will be included in periodic health checkups to help evaluate risk levels.
Changes are marked in red.
