Yuan Rung Healthcare System and seven financial institutions including Land Bank completed the signing of a syndicated loan agreement for NT$6.28 billion, raising funds for the construction of the "Yuan Rung General Hospital," which costs over NT$8 billion and is expected to be completed and operational in three years. After the new hospital is completed, the Yuan Rung Healthcare System will have nearly 1,200 beds, becoming a large-scale modern healthcare system in the Central Taiwan region (Taichung, Changhua, Nantou). It will establish twelve major specialized integrated centers, including cardiovascular, digestive medicine, neurology, integrated cancer treatment, bone and joint & spine, and geriatric care, striving to create a comprehensive medical hub.
Land Bank General Manager Chang Chih-chien stated that the banking consortium has strong confidence in Yuan Rung's long-standing local achievements and future development blueprint, and is willing to "sow blessings and save lives" together with the healthcare system. He particularly praised Yuan Rung's patient-centered management philosophy, as well as its introduction of novel medical equipment and one-stop service management model, which left a deep impression on him. This time, Land Bank and Hua Nan Bank co-organized the syndicate, with First Bank, Taiwan Cooperative Bank, Taiwan Business Bank, Agricultural Bank of Taiwan, and Taichung Commercial Bank participating, demonstrating the financial industry's determination to long-term support the medical industry.
Yuan Rung Healthcare System Superintendent Chang Ke-shih recalled that eighteen years ago, he took over a hospital with NT$500 million in debt and on the verge of closure. With good intentions and perseverance, he led the team to turn the tide, successfully transforming it into a critical and severe care medical hub. The hospital has accumulated over 8,000 cases of cardiac catheterization to date, rescuing nearly a thousand critically ill patients. It also pioneered the establishment of specialized departments such as the wound treatment and hyperbaric oxygen center, gastroesophageal reflux center, joint preservation and regenerative therapy, and ultrasound-guided nerve repair therapy. In the past five years, it has received 16 SNQ National Quality Mark recognitions.
Chang Ke-shih emphasized that the core of healthcare is "patient-centered," not only treating diseases but also promoting holistic health. The new hospital campus will introduce smart healthcare, interdisciplinary talent cultivation, and ESG sustainability concepts. The park will feature facilities such as forests, gardens, and walking trails, creating a modern medical sanctuary that combines professionalism, technology, and warmth. He hopes that the hospital will no longer be cold and impersonal, but rather a warm and comfortable health base like a home.
With the completion of Yuan Rung General Hospital, it will become the largest healthcare system in Southern Changhua, providing more comprehensive and high-quality medical services to the local area, and also serving counties with insufficient medical resources such as Nantou and Yunlin. Superintendent Chang emotionally stated that this syndicated loan case is not only financial support but also a collective affirmation of the value of life by society. He appealed: "Today is a moment of gratitude and emotion. Let us witness history together and work together for the health of our fellow citizens."
